Our Challenge
Humanity stands at a crossroads. Today’s social, economic, and environmental crises demand a vastly different response. At Dragonfly Ventures we are using the financial resources we steward to disrupt systems that are creating harm for people and planet.
We develop and foster relationships with those looking to centre the wellbeing of people and planet and support them with an open heart, creativity, empathy, and financial resources.
Our Vision
We envision a world where humanity lives synergistically with each other, the earth, her creatures, and spirit.
Our Mission
We invest our resources and build reciprocal relationships to nurture the unique gifts and capacities of people and communities committed to the wellbeing of people and the earth.
Our Values
Make Space
We acknowledge the long history and continued inequity and oppression deeply embedded in systems, structures, and institutions. We prioritize those that have experienced harm because of that inequity so they can fully express their beauty, value, and inherent gifts.
Embrace the Feminine
We believe in the feminine powers of creativity, imagination, empathy, and intuition. We elevate our decision-making by adding these skills and qualities to the analytical approach that so often dominates decisions around money.
Take Action
The current trajectory of our human-created systems and consumptive patterns are exploitative and unsustainable. We support individuals and communities that are reimagining what is possible and making it happen now.
Our Company
Dragonfly Ventures is a privately funded mission-driven family office supported by a small, dedicated team.
Our in-house team includes our Co-CEOs, Office Manager, and two foundation staff members. We are supported by two contractors for portfolio reporting and financial management and several external advisors with expertise in finance, strategy, business management, tax planning, legal, and executive coaching.
Annabelle
Co-CEO, Founder, Primary Visionary
Having traveled an unconventional path, Annabelle takes great pride in her leadership role of Dragonfly Ventures as Primary Visionary and Co-CEO. With multiple family losses came a great responsibility to understand and manage her financial legacy. She has worked diligently to aim her inner compass towards meaningful change along paths not yet taken. She would ultimately revel if the pervasive and destructive use of global toxics was permanently eliminated.
Heather
Director, Toxics Program, The Dragonfly Fund
Heather’s dual passions are any form of wilderness adventure and learning from people who are trying to make the world better. She comes from a long line of traveling carnival people, but after a few stints working on the midway she chose a very different career path. Heather has over two decades of experience as a communications and campaign strategist across the charitable sector. In her role at Dragonfly Ventures, she is working with the team, community groups, organizations, and companies to reduce the current overwhelming volume of harmful chemicals and curb the impact they are having on people and the earth.
